Release 16 EP6 - What's New in EnCase & Tableau

What is new in Security EP6?

  • OpenText™ EnCase™ Endpoint Security 6.06

    For organizations that require constant visibility, OpenText™ EnCase™ Endpoint Security 6.06 adds realtime monitoring at scale for advanced threat detection and full visibility into endpoints and their data. The IR toolkit of 6.06 also includes the ability to isolate endpoints, giving analysts the power to halt lateral movement once an intrusion has been identified. The update also offers general user improvements to the UI for enhanced investigation abilities.

    Built to scale up to the largest enterprise, security teams can detect non-commodity and advanced threats, avoid alert fatigue and automate alert response and forensically remediate all traces of attackers.

  • OpenText™ EnCase™ Endpoint Investigator 8.09

    Examiners can continue to investigate everywhere with unfettered access to and added support for nearly every device type, operating system, cloud source and encryption technology. OpenText™ EnCase™ Endpoint™ Investigator 8.09 offers a more streamlined workflow and improves efficiency with auditing and logging capabilities for EnCase processor, enabling examiners to monitor and track progress of their case in EnCase. These auditing logs can be ingested in whichever format suits users’ needs. It can be read in text files, or logging platforms, such as Splunk or Kibana. 8.09 offers enhanced support for Microsoft PST (2013, 2016, & 365), Firefox artifacts, Linux ram and process acquisition and McAfee EPO.

  • OpenText™ EnCase™ Forensic 8.09

    OpenText™ EnCase™ Forensic 8.09 now provides a more streamlined workflow and improves efficiency with auditing and logging capabilities for EnCase processor. The auditing logs can be ingested in whichever format you like. You can read it in a text file, or a logging platform such as Splunk or Kibana. The release includes support for Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption as well as PST artifacts for Outlook 2013, 2016 and Office 365. EnCase can now also parse artifacts in Firefox up to version 62.

  • OpenText™ Tableau Hardware

    EP6 introduces Tableau Forensic Imager (TX1) 2.2, providing forensic examiners the ability to customize, name and save their logical imaging search parameters for reuse to make the logical imaging process more efficient and useful. In addition, TX1 now comes with a lock screen with PIN code for added security, as well as an improved network user experience. This release also adds two new adapters, SATA and PCIe, to the Tableau Hardware family.
